Basic Cityscape Tutorial

Now group the city blocks together, and repaet the copy and paste routine. move the newly replicated cityblocks down below and group all of the city blocks together. You should now have 4 city blocks

The next step is simply more of the same. The group of city blocks are replicated, and this time placed to the side of the existing city blocks. Group them together. You'll  have to shrink down the size of the grouped city blocks before copying them to make it easier to view them.

From the director's view, you should end with something like this. It's starting to look more and more like a city.

Here we go again with the copying and pasting. This time we make 3 more copies, and place them as shown below. It doesn't hurt to rotate the groups 180 degrees as you position them. Also noteworthy is the fact that you can use the "multireplicate" function to do this, but for this tutorial, we will stick with the simple "copy and paste" method.

Go to the director's view, and take a look. I've moved the view around a little bit until I settle on a viewpoint, that I want to be the permanent viewpoint for the final picture. You don't have to do this now, but it's quicker, and easier to manouver the view when there aren't too many objects loaded into the scene.
